Indonesia's Volcanoes (From Bali With Love)

I came across this great image of Merapi Volcano in Java, Indonesia on the National Geographic website. You can check out the full article accompanying the picture HERE. SO, to go along with the picture, I thought I'd give you some brief information about Indonesia's volcanoes.
I love the caption for the article, "The Gods Must Be Restless".
Indonesia, often dubbed as "the pacific ring of fire", has more active volcanoes than any other country in the world. Indonesia is comprised of more than 17,000 different islands and, so far, 150 active volcanoes have been listed.
Here's a map, I found on Wikipedia, of Indonesia's active volcanoes:
You can hardly see the island of Bali, where there are 3 volcanoes.
I receive many messages from back home when there is news of a volcano eruption of tv, but most of the time, we never even hear about the eruptions here. Volcanic activity here is as common as filling up your car with gasoline. :)
